The Longest Walk

The Longest Walk 2 is an extraordinary grassroots effort on a national level to bring attention to the environmental disharmony of Mother Earth.

It is a peaceful, spiritual effort to engage with the public about restoring harmony with the environment by leading an initiative to clean up the lands surrounding our highways.

We take up this task to walk in a manner befitting our nations. We shall walk for the Seventh Generation, for peace, for justice, for healing of Mother Earth, and for the healing of our people suffering from diabetes, heart conditions, and other diseases.

The walkers will arrive at Pleasant Heights Community of Christ (4341 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City MO) on May 2, 2008 from 3-5 p.m. There will be a blessing of the Osage Trace and the Tree of Peace at the Community of Christ Temple from 5-7 p.m.

If you would like to support our brothers and sisters on their sacred walk, please see the following list of items needed. (By the time they reach the Pleasant Heights church, they will have come approximately halfway to Washington D.C. and will need several items.)
